Mission
In support of Roger Williams University’s commitment to academic excellence and engaged learning, the archives collects, preserves, and provide access to records that document the history of the university, as well as the town of Bristol and the East Bay. The archives also houses the University Libraries' Special Collections and the Roger Williams Family Association Papers.
What We Collect
The Archives collects, preserves, and makes available the permanent records of the University that document its history, development, and achievements from its founding in 1956 to the present. There is also a focus on collecting local history material related to Bristol and the surrounding areas Additionally, the Archives is home to the library's special collections books and the records of the Roger Williams Familly Association.

Student Newspapers
First published as The Quill in1961 and continuing as a print newspaper through 2024.
Student Yearbooks
First issued in 1970 and published annually until 2020. Today it is an online publication only.

Occasional publications (1967-2005) with stories about campus events and class member news.

Course Catalogs
Catalogs from 1969-1970 through 1989-1990. Today the catalog is primarily an online publication.

Roger Williams College introduced its first mascot in 1980. MIke Mintz was the "Roger the Hawk" from 1980-1983.
